The SCFJC brings community-based and governmental partners together under one roof to make it easier for victims and survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, elder abuse, stalking and human trafficking to get the wrap around services they need.

New Hampshire Legal Assistance provides civil legal assistance in parenting, divorce, and protective order cases at the SCFJC. NHLA’s mission is to fulfill America’s promise of equal justice by providing civil legal services to New Hampshire’s poor, including education and empowerment, advice, representation, and advocacy for systemic change.For more information, please visit their website at www.nhla.org.

The Strafford County Child Advocacy Center provides a multidisciplinary response by governmental and victim service organizations to address allegations of child abuse, domestic violence and sexual violence to endure effective and coordinated investigations. HAVEN provides confidential advocacy services at their office next door to the SCFJC. They also have offices in Portsmouth and Salem, NH. HAVEN is dedicated to addressing public health through violence prevention and improving the well-being of children and families. For more information, please visit their website at www.havennh.org.

Waypoint‘s Human Trafficking Response Program provides a case manager onsite at the SCFJC who specializes in working with people who have experienced human trafficking. The case manager provides one on one support, directed by the individual and based on goals and challenges they identify. The SCFJC also partners with Waypoint to provide trauma-informed counseling. The Manchester Family Justice Center is the only other FJC in NH. They provide services and comprehensive client care to victims and survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, elder abuse, stalking and human trafficking in Manchester. The First Congregational Church of Barrington provides pastors who are available at the SCFJC for individuals who would like to explore healing through faith. For more information, please visit their website at www.fccbnh.org.

The Division for Children, Youth and Families (DCYF) manages protective programs on behalf of New Hampshire’s children, youth and their families. Case workers can meet with SCFJC clients to discuss cases or to take a report. For more information, please visit their website at www.dhhs.nh.gov/dcyf.

The Office of the Strafford County Attorney is responsible for overseeing the investigation and prosecution of all criminal cases in Strafford County. Prosecutors and Victim Assistance staff are available at the SCFJC to provide consultations, testimony review and trial preparation. The Rochester Police Department is the lead law enforcement partner of the SCFJC. A Rochester detective is often available onsite at the SCFJC to answer client’s questions about the criminal process and to provide onsite security. The Somersworth Police Department is one of several law enforcement partners of the SCFJC. Memberships

The SCFJC is a member of several multi-disciplinary teams across Strafford County and New Hampshire dedicated to collaboration and service on behalf of victims and survivors.

The New Hampshire Human Trafficking Collaborative Task Force is a collaboration of law enforcement, service providers, attorneys, state agencies, and other community stake holders for the purpose of improving the statewide response to human trafficking.

The Strafford County Sexual Assault Resource Team is a collaboration among many partner organizations to provide collaborative, victim-centered response and resources in cases of sexual assault. This team coordinates training and education for member organizations, law enforcement and health care providers.
