Volunteer

About Our Volunteer Program

The Strafford County Family Justice Center values each and every volunteer who offers their time, talents, and energy to support and strengthen the programs and services we offer.

The SCFJC has opportunities for individuals and groups.

  • Short-term service projects- These can be for a few hours, a day, or a few days to complete a project for the SCFJC. These projects can be completed by an individual or by a group.
  • Long-term service- This would involve setting a regular schedule of availability, or being available for needs as they arise. We ask volunteers in these service roles to commit to at least one year.

Requirements

All interested applicants must submit a resume and letter of interest. Candidates whose work or educational experiences best match SCFJC goals and objectives will be selected for interviews. Individuals selected for the volunteer program must undergo a criminal background check, and a training and orientation program. All volunteers must abide by SCFJC policies and procedures.

Groups interested in a short-term service project may contact us at the email below for more information.
